I am hooked! Hooked on blogs! I love to look at everyone's ingenious blog and blog designs! Some people are just too creative! I scanned through my blog and realized that I practically write novels! Well, I suppose some people may be more dedicated in the fact that they have on-going projects and cute little crafts and cute pictures of their quaint lives. Me on the other hand, I rant and complain and have a self pity party. I think I am also redundant because I believe I have posted something like this before. I do however have an excuse:
-School
-Currently school exams
........... I suppose we can add laziness to that list too.
Well I am all studied out and tired of being lazy. I want to maybe start a project too. But I'm not telling what it is. Heck, I may not even do it. We'll see. I need something to spice up this little thing I have here. Something different and quirky ( < it me like ten times to try to spell that....). If tomorrow is a snow day I shall brain storm.

What I do with my time
I received a gift from the parents today, as well as a distraction from studying! Acrylic paints! I have always been fascinated with water colours and quite skeptical with acrylics.... however I realized that I like thick acrylics and not cheap thin paint. I found out through art class at school that I did like how the colours flowed!
~ ~ ~
There is something quite thrilling when squeezing different colours of paint on a clean white canvas. Something exciting when taking a damp brush and with a beautiful colour and gracefully run it across the paper. The sense of accomplishment when your finish product was exactly what you dared to expect.
Well, I got the "thrill" and "excitement" but the "accomplishment" didn't quite follow! But that is to
be expected. I suppose I should actually study since I have wasted the morning! I do dislike exams ever so much!

Restless
I am feeling very restless of late. Perhaps it is the weather, or that exams are coming up, perhaps its just a faze. I am not sure. I have mixed feelings about everything and I am not even sure where these feelings originated! Which I suppose is the humorous part! I talked about Cranford before in my previous posts. I mentioned how much I loved it and was obsessed with it. Well, I found a new series. Lark Rise to Candleford by BBC. I have to say it is the best series ever made. I feel such a connection with all the characters. I almost think that it was made specifically for me! I had two snow days in a row and used the second day to spend 6 hours watching my show. Every hour that goes by seems like minutes. I am enthralled and a sense of comfort sweeps over me as that beginning tune starts to play. It does great good, but I also become restless because of it. I yearn to travel and find a land with rollings hills and long walks. I yearn to write and to live. I know my time will come but it seems to take forever. Life in 2012 seems to be missing the something; it seems like life is so foolish. We don't care about the day God has given us. It's just another day to waste our words, fling our emotions, be stubborn, and think highly (too highly) of ourselves. Well... now you know I am not myself. I am ranting, aren't I. Well, anyway, check out Lark Rise to Candleford (it's on Youtube) and I promise you that it will cause no regrets!

Decorative ideas and other random things.
So I decided to use my break from school and clean my room. Like really clean. Well I yet to venture to clear out under my bed, but that I will save for another holiday! After many years of my mom telling my that I have too much clutter, I began to find creative ways to use my clutter for decoration. I suppose it isn't anything as creative as you can find other places but its a start I guess. Anyway, I have nothing else to blog about so here are some of my "Clutter Re-creations":
~ ~ ~
So this is an old jar. I love these kinds of jars and I was short on
flower pots, so I planted this little plant in it. I had some ribbon that I
really liked but couldn't bare to throw away, and therefor decided it add it to the jar to add some flare!
You can get these adorable little mice at IKEA for like seventy-five cents.
I have three in different colours. They are small, so I inserted them into my book shelf.
They look so sweet peeking out from the books!
This next idea I am proud to say I came up with on my own. (I mean
in my own family, probably not the first in the world though!) We had no particular use for a shoe organizer, so I adopted it and now use it to store all my sweaters and such.
It looks much nicer then 50 things hanging from hooks in my room!
(I got this picture from Furniture in Fashion)
~ ~ ~
This doesn't really have to do with anything about storage or decorating but
this is the book I am reading right now. It is one of my favourite books of all time
and my second time reading it. (I did however, have a little round table came into my care
that I used to house my current book. It's a lame use for the table, I yet to find a good purpose for it!)
So that is just little ideas. Lame I know, but it's something different then me ranting in code about my life! I realized that people like this sort of thing. Anyway, hope you enjoy this winter day!

Goodbye and Hello
Usually, on New Years Eve I go through some sort of a depression... My theory is that we FINALLY have gone though the whole year. We lived out day after day, 365 (sometimes 366) time , Monday through Sunday 52 times, and month after month 12 times. Then finally as you are about to enter a new year, you have to start over. Start once again on January 1 and go all the way to December 31. 365 days, 52 weeks, and 12 months; all over again just to do the same thing next year. I felt that we really never got anywhere. I sometimes thought that maybe should change the names of the month, just so we could have SOME change. (I thought of that notion when I was younger.)
But this year is different.... I don't know how or why but it is. 2011 has served me ever so well. But how do you measure a good year? While I am writing, right now, I see that I measure a good year by all the happy times. However, how foolish that is because I will be searching for a long long time for the 'perfect' year. I can honestly say that 2011 was the best year because, sure there were happy times, but there bad times too. But its not so much the fact about the 'happy times', but this year I feel like I have grown. I mean sure my hair has grown and I probably grew a couple centimetres, but I feel like I have grown as a person this year. I feel wiser and a great sense of the world and myself. God has made himself known to me and for that it has been a really unique and fulfilling year! So many memories and stories! I am actually looking forward to the new year!
Have a great evening and enjoy the new year, whatever it may bring. Even though everything seems like an endless cycle, each and every day is different and unique. Live it to the fullest and live it out for God. Enjoy!

Just Thoughts
I honestly forgot that I had this blog. Things have been pretty crazy on the actual River Side. Things also have been pretty crazy and weird at school. Especially this month. I can't even explain. It's like this weird plague that hit everyone at school, and once you got it everyones mood changes. On top of mood changes, just random events happened that you didn't expect. People just stuck with one close friend for the week instead of a group of friends and people acted out of their 'normal'. It was like everyone was in a daze. Its hard to explain and it won't make sense to anyone I suppose. I wonder if I was the only one in the 'daze'? Maybe it was the lack of sleep, stress, being tired of people and school in general. In all honestly I think everyone need a break; to get back to normal and take a mental break. Anyway, that one week out of all the weeks wasn't the only reason that I didn't write. My family has started fostering; which has lead us to many adventures indeed! Not much to indulge there however, it is just not the place or time. God is continuing to open my eyes to new things and look at things differently.
I wonder how many people actually read this.... I mean it really doesn't make any sense, this blog. In order to remain private I almost talk in code. I have to let my readers/viewers interpret what I am trying to say. Oh well, these are just thoughts. If anyone does read this, feel free to leave a comment.

Where did the time go?
I suddenly looked at my calendar then there I saw it. The end of October. It is officially the first day of November. You can't get farther away from summer then now. (Well, I guess December is the farthest away.... but anyway.) I haven't been on in a while because I have been busy with school and sports.
I discovered a mini TV series and it's just the darling-est thing in the world. Its called Cranford. I laughed and cried and grew attach to each character. Except, during the series you had to learn to withhold your affections because many main characters die for various reasons. Its basically about a small town in England in the 1800s. The population of the town is mainly old women who have never married or are widowed. Sound interesting yet? Well it is. I always wish I lived in the 1800s, then I use indoor plumbing and electricity and I thank God that I live in the 2000s. However, the idea of the that time period and the way they spoke, the propriety, the carefulness of relationships all sound quite appealing to me.
Happy November first, people. Have a good evening.
